Queen of the Lake

On Sunday the 7 of February me, my mum and Aunty Jane walked around Albert Park Lake. We were doing a thing called Queen of the Lake AKA Brazilian Butterfly.  It was just for fun.  The Queen of the Lake is something that you can walk or run or jog around and it's a 5k walk, jog, or run.  We walked mainly but at certain times we ran for a little bit.

My time was 51:37.  I feel very proud because when we did the practice we took like an hour and a half!

I give it 10 out of 10 because it was fun and you got a showbag at the end.

Brazilian Butterfly

Last Saturday me and Mummy walked around Albert Park Lake for the first time in my life.  I thought it was very hard but I just had to keep pushing myself to the limit!  When I was finished I felt very tired but glad that I finished and I didn't like the idea of walking anymore.  My feet were aching because it's the longest I've walked in my life.

We are doing this for a mother and daughter challenge called the Brazilian Butterfly 2010 Queen of the Lake.  I am feeling a bit nervous and altogether a little bit excited as well.  We're going to practice this Saturday but this time I'm going to do it on my bike.  The challenge is in early February.

I give walking around the lake 8 and a half out of 10 because it was very hard and I got very puffed.

Fantastic Mr. Fox

On Saturday 2nd of Dec we went to see Fantastic Mr Fox the movie at the Cinemas.  I thought it was a very good movie for children age 6 and over.  It was funny sometimes, and sometimes it was a bit sad.  I liked the character of the nephew the best.  He was funny and the son got jealous of him because he could do much better things than him.  It was funny when he was teaching karate to the son.

I would think it was 9 and a half out of 10.

Going to the Melbourne Museum

On Thursday the 31 of December me and my mum went to the Museum.  FIRST of all of all we went to a room and it had lots and lost  of Dinosaur skeletons.  With each and every skeleton there was a little screen that told a story about the Dinosaur , and it showed you what it would look like if it were alive today.  For example I was surprised that one one of the Dinosaurs actually had feathers on it's body.  And I leant that Birds such as a Magpie were related to Dinosaurs.  In the same room, there was a skeleton of a lizard that once lived in Australia, and it is bigger than the Komodo Dragon!
We also saw lots of animals that have died and were stuffed and it told you if the animals were endangered, extinct or surviving.  There were lots of different animals, some I have never seen before.  I liked the pygmy possum the most.  We also saw a mind exhibition (as in your head) and I thought it was very interesting.  One of the things I liked was where they showed you pictures of the common dreams that people often get like teeth falling out and someone flying.

In the kids museum, I weighed myself and I weighed as much as a grey kangaroo.  Mummy weighed as much as a freshwater crocodile.  Near the cafe there's an old fashioned tram and it's really cute.

The best part about the day was when we went to the mind exhibition.

I give the Melbourne Museum 10 out of 10!

My first post (Reviewing ice cream)

Yesterday we went to a place called Cold Rock Ice Cream.  Here is a link to their website:

www.coldrock.com.au

Well you see what they have is a massive range of lollies, in fact every chocolate or lollie you could possibliy think of, and a big range of ice cream flavours, any flavour you could ever imagine!  Then you can choose as many lollies as you want.  Then you can choose 1 or 2 Ice Cream flavours, and they mix it together for you!  For example, I had Cake Batter flavoured ice cream with Malteesers and Oreos.  My ice cream was superb!

Out of 10, I would score Cold Rock Ice Cream 9 and a half.
